This was a solo student project prepared for a short course offered by RMIT.
Brief:
Strava users would like a way to link their activities into logical threads based on their own training programs. They want to privately compare their performance for an activity dataset selected by themselves.
Problem:
Uncover a potential problem with a well-known process, or app. Use a design thinking methodology to work towards a solution design that would make users happy.
Approach:
The approach was structured through the course delivery framework. There was a phase pf desktop research, interviews, ideation, prototyping, validation and refinement.
Ideation:
Exploring the user experience through flow diagrams and storyboards.

Prototypes:
Here are a progression of prototypes and wireframes for a new Strava feature – adding active hashtags to activity descriptions
Lo-fi prototype in Balsamiq

Mid-fi prototype in Marvel
The map looks very complicated. After reviewing feedback with live users, I simplified and removed a large number of the screens that were causing confusion.
